Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 27, 2026
Synchronicity is built on a simple premise: your moments are private. This policy explains exactly what the app does with your data and what it never does.
What stays on your device
All journal entries you create in Synchronicity — including text, tags, signals, reflections, threads, dates, and intensity ratings, are stored locally on your iPhone using Apple's SwiftData framework. This data never leaves your device. No server receives it. No backup is created by us.
Synchronicity requires no account. There is no sync, no cloud storage, and no access to your journal by anyone other than you.
Backups and exports
You can back up your journal to a file, restore from one, or export it as a PDF or Markdown document. These files are created on your device and go only where you choose to save or send them. If you set a passphrase on a backup, it is used to encrypt the file on your device. We never see the passphrase and cannot recover it. A backup made without a passphrase is not encrypted, so keep it somewhere private.
App lock
You can lock Synchronicity with Face ID or your device passcode. Authentication is handled entirely by iOS. The app never receives your biometric data or your passcode.
What data we collect
None. Synchronicity collects no personal data, no usage data, no analytics, and no diagnostic information. Apple's privacy label for this app reflects this: Data Not Collected.
Analytics and tracking
The Synchronicity app contains no third-party analytics, no advertising SDKs, and no crash reporting services. We do not track you across apps or websites. We do not sell your data.
This website uses Google Analytics to count visits. That applies to the website only, not to the app.
Children
Synchronicity is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from children under 13.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the date at the top of this page.
